This is my last one, new of course, with tags. I've marked it now below cost. This is an $89 retail set.
I've fiddled around with the pictures so you could hopefully see the details, but please remember while viewing this is JET BLACK-- including the satin embroidery-- I'm sorry that the pictures make it look garish. It is not and it has absolutely ALL the elements you'd expect in a fabulous Gypsy outfit.
This is a S, but check measurements below as these run oversize.
FIRST this is cool water wash rayon, feeling like a heavier drapey cotton, but it has moss crepe ruffles and even inset crochet corners in the ruffle. Incredible! There is also chain trim along with heavy yet tiny embroidery embellishment.
The top has a simple scoop neck and buttons down. The front is made up of 4 panels of washed marble rayon. On either side of the buttons the panels have a viney floral embroidery design. The second panel repeats this design only it's smaller. The back is plain, save for a floral right below the nape of the neck. Back also has ties to adjust the fit. The ruffled and jaggedy bottom goes all the way around the blouse. At the bottom, there is that washed shiny chain trim. Then comes the washed crepe ruffle. Underneath that is yet another washed crepe ruffle and this piece has the crochet squares set into the jaggedy points. The entire piece is then trimmed in embroidery chain at the very bottom. T
The skirt has an elastic waist with a hidden tie to further adjust the fit. The skirt itself is in 8 panels. Much like the blouse, the front panels have the same matching viney/floral embroidery-- with the leaves being especially spectacular without being overbearing. The bottom of the skirt mimics the bottom of the blouse with the chain trim, the two layers of crepe ruffle plus that neat crochet inset in the jaggedy points of the skirt. The skirt is also very long and full, the way we love that Gypsy look.
PLEASE NOTE I TAKE ALL MY MEASUREMENTS WITH THE GARMENT FLAT AND MEASURED ACROSS THE FRONT (unless otherwise noted)
Size Small **BUT CHECK THESE MEASUREMENTS**
TOP: from underarm to underam bust measures 20". Waist nips in to 19" and the bottom goes back out to 20" before the ruffle starts. Of course the ruffle will give you another few added inches. The length from shoulder seam down to the longest jaggedy point is 28".
SKIRT: Unstretched waist measures 12", and stretches to 20" comfortably. Hips, free measuring 30" across the front only! Just measuring straight across the front, the bottom measures 39" but that isn't following the ruffle--which would put this skirt at close to 100" at the bottom, I'm sure. The length from waistband down to longest jaggedy point is 39".
As you can see from the measurements, this one is long, and being the drapey rayon it's heavy. Still breathable so good no matter what the weather! However it does take it to the 2 lb postal rate, sorry.
