From our favorite urban hippie quality wearables company!
I will tell you that it's great on its' own, but I've also pinched one and am wearing it over a longer dark brown tattered tier skirt. Great as a long layering dress over big pants too. But then again, those that know me know I love to play dress up with my clothes and layer stuff any time I can get away with it.
Ok, so here's the deal on this one. It's from my higher digit hippie company. Nice quality, with the usual finished seams and lining too. This one is a taupe background with a cream floral print. But wait! Before you think that may be too ho hum, you have to see the beading detail on this one. The artiste on this one has taken some of the "here and there" flowers and beaded them. Every one is different. AND, they've used dark blue thread on some of the beading..also they have blanket stitched the two ruffles found as this gets to the bottom in blue also. It just ROCKS and, if you like one of a kindy, this is a great one.
This is a one size fits most and will fit small to large (but no larger, check measurements, though, to be sure).
The dress has ruffled straps and a squared off back (well above the bra but down from the nape of your neck, not really high). The bodice also has a sweet ruffle on either side. The left side of the dress top crosses over to the right. There is a hidden teeny shell button and loop closure and then added snaps to be sure it stays put. The right side then crosses over the left, there's another strap and then a very long tie that goes around the dress and ties there on the right side. Strings hang very long and give it a great look.
The bodice is a kind of empire criss/cross style with the top have some small gathering to accommodate cup sizes. The next piece is the beaded here and there piece and that goes to about the upper thigh. The next piece is gathered and has an applied ruffle at about the knee and then a final ruffle about 6" below the first one. Now, there is also beading here and there on the ruffles too!! It's SO cute!
Dress is lined 3/4's of the way down, again, all seams are finished and interfaced too. Alot of work went into this one--
I take my measurements across the front only, so double and then subtract your own wiggle room. Also, I would say you could move those snaps at least an inch if you needed to. Ok? Ok! Here are the measurements of this One Size hippie frock:
Bust from side to side at the top of the underarms is 20.5" the underbust is 19.5" (if you are smaller, the string tie can be cinched tighter)
The waist is 20"
Hips are 24"
Length is just under 41". A nice length on it's own or thrown over another skirt or baggies!
