A couple of notes before I get started. We only have size Small now.
This is 100% heavy stone washed rayon crepe. The stonewashing was done first, so it's nice and soft, yet heavy crepe, and it's JET BLACK (I lightened the pix so you could see details). But that's not all. It's pieced and has several different textured pieces too.
This starts with a simple scoopy neckline that has a vee notched in the center. The main middle panel has 2 flowers embroidered vertically. There are thinner panels on either side of the main front panel and these are plain but whats really cool about this one is the little "S" trim that separates all the piecing. Finally, the side panel has a sort of stripe texture to it so this gives the appearance of length.
The back is 3 plain stonewashed jet black panels. BUT and this is a big BUT: there are 4 loops on either side of the middle panel at the bottom and a nice shiny cord that goes thru the loops and ties at the bottom. FAB!
But wait! That's not all. Look at the picture and see how the bottom is pieced! There is a sort of waffle weave looking heavy crepe piece going all around the bottom front in a saw tooth sort of fashion. Attached to that is a gerogette ruffle piece with chikan embroidery (like eyelet but without the holes). And this ruffle runs all the way around. So as you can see, the bottom is nice and full and yet uneven. A perfect top for any hippie festival and it looks just as good with jeans or a full cotton skirt as it does with the matching skirt I have listed to match.
Size small only. Again, this is natural rayon. This type feels like really heavy stonewashed crepe. It's a hand wash, cool water piece.
***MEASUREMENTS *** PLEASE NOTE I TAKE ALL MY MEASUREMENTS WITH THE GARMENT FLAT AND MEASURED ACROSS THE FRONT (unless otherwise noted)
Bust: 19" from underarm to underarm at the top seam across the front. But seriously, I know this seems big but they really need to be roomy to look right.
Bottom: Before the waffle weave piecing starts is 19" and 21" where that piecing ends and the ruffle is attached. Remember too, you have the lacing in back to cinch it up tighter. We've measured with the laces "undone".
Length: 24" from the shoulder seam down the side and 23" on the shorter pieces. So you'll find it to be 23" and 24" all the way around as shown in the picture.
These are new with tags. The skirt that matches up with this top can be key word searched in my store using key words: Fab Hippie Jet Black Fits S M L.
A Final NOTE: Steaming these garments (or ironing) give me the measurements I have listed. The upshot is, if you open your package and, for example, the XL bust does not measure 23", steam or press it. It will once it's pressed. And, again, cool water wash by hand. If this mistakenly gets put in the washer and you notice shrinkage...steam it. The beauty of this natural rayon fiber is you can get most of the sizing back by simply using your steam iron. I am not stating that these should be machine washed. They shouldn't be! But just in case....that's my method for fixing my own situation!
